Movie Night in Hendrie Park: A Green Angels Fundraiser
Event Description
Movie: Migration (2023). Join us as we follow the adventures of a Mallard duck family as they leave the comfort of their familiar pond and embark on a migration adventure of a lifetime. Arrive early to meet wild bird ambassadors from Wild Ontario. They will provide movie-goers with a close-up experience featuring a variety of birds, sharing insights and interesting facts about our feathered friends.
Please enjoy complimentary popcorn with the purchase of your movie ticket. Additional refreshments will be available for purchase, including a selection of drinks and snacks to enjoy during the event.
All proceeds from this event will directly support RBG’s Green Angels Program. This program assists individuals and families facing financial constraints, ensuring access to enriching experiences and educational opportunities provided by RBG.
Please note: Chairs are not provided. Guests are asked to bring their own foldable lawn chairs, blankets, and cushions for turf seating.
Schedule:
- 6:30 to 8 p.m.: enjoy lawn games throughout Hendrie Park (Tic Tac Toe, Jenga, Corn Hole, and Connect 4)
- 7:15 p.m.: Wild Ontario Bird Show
- 8-8:30 (when lighting conditions allow): Movie begins

Tickets
You will be required to present your pre-purchased tickets upon arrival, either printed our or digitally on your personal device. Each ticket will be scanned. The confirmation receipt is not a ticket. Your tickets were sent to you as an attachment in a separate email at the time of purchase.
Weather
Movie Night is rain or shine. If there is inclement weather, the event will be held indoors at RBG Centre.
Seating
Chairs are not provided for this event. Guests are asked to bring blankets, cushions, or pillows for turf seating. For those unable to sit for longer periods of time on the turf, lawn chairs are permitted at the back. The front is reserved for those sitting on the lawn.
Accessibility
RBG welcomes the use of personal assistive devices that allow visitors to enjoy our facilities and services. The stage is located in Mitchell’s Field in Hendrie Park, and is accessible by paved pathways.
Mitchell’s Field is a large, open lawn area with a natural slope.
For convenience RBG has a limited number of wheelchairs available for loan. Wheelchairs are available on a first come basis and may not be reserved in advance. It is recommended guests bring their own wheelchairs.
