Event Description

Awaken to the wonders of the body and mind, and journey into the day with a sense of well-being and inner strength. Hatha Yoga Instructor Louise Vien concentrates on lengthening the spine and opening the body through stretching and strengthening poses, reducing stress through yogic breathing and enhancing awareness through an active mindfulness class. A perfect way to start your weekend, this energizing class is suitable for all levels.

  • Single Session: $20 + HST & $1 Service Fee (Members 10% off)
    Full Fall Season: $90 + HST & $1 Service Fee (Members 10% off)
  • Registration Closes: Friday at 1 p.m.
  • This program takes place outdoors at various garden locations.
  • Program length: approximately 1 hour

Instructor Bio

Louise has been a Yoga Instructor for more than a decade, teaching at her studio “From The Heart Yoga” on the Waterdown escarpment, and at the beautiful Royal Botanical Gardens. She has given lessons on location at U of T Mississauga Campus, YMCA Hamilton, Eagle Ridge Community Center Mississauga, as a volunteer instructor for local women’s shelters and to many small, large and private groups. Louise received her training certification in Hatha Yoga at Sheridan College Institute in Oakville, and continues to deepen her yoga practice by attending on-going workshops, classes and courses. She holds training certificates as a Meditation and Kundalini/Chakra Facilitator through the Naturality School, Reiki Masters in the Tibetan-Usui system of natural healing, and has studied tai chi, qigong and kabbalah. As a member of Canadian Yoga Alliance, Yoga Alliance (USA), and Yoga Alliance International, Louise strives to encourage confidence and compassion, and to enhance the rich gifts of life and health.
